SpectraMedix Contracts with Healthix to Facilitate DSRIP Data Sharing with the Staten Island Performing Provider System

Healthix Medicaid patient data and SpectraMedix analytics capabilities will enhance SI PPS project management and reporting

East Windsor, NJ — March 1, 2016 — SpectraMedix has contracted with Healthix, a New York State Qualified Entity (QE), to enable health information exchange between New York City and Long Island area healthcare providers and the Staten Island Performing Provider System (SI PPS) in support of New York State’s Medicaid Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) program.

Healthix, the largest public Regional Health Information Organization (RHIO) in the U.S., with over 16 million patients, collects data for SI PPS Medicaid attributed members 24/7 from partner providers’ EHR systems. This data, including clinical, laboratory, claims, care plans, medications and other data, is fed to the SpectraMedix eMeasures360™ platform and integrated into the SI PPS enterprise data warehouse.

“Importing clinical data from Healthix will provide SI PPS with access to valuable, actionable information to improve tracking and reporting of DSRIP performance metrics,” said Todd Rogow, MPA, CSM, PMP, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Healthix. “We are pleased to be working with SpectraMedix to facilitate this data integration and to enhance patient care.”

Because Healthix collects patient data from other PPSs and participating organizations, including 600 independent healthcare facilities representing large health systems, behavioral health organizations, long-term post-acute care facilities, home care agencies, provider practices and others, this integration allows SI PPS’s patient records to include an abundance of vital information. A more complete picture can then be shared with PCPs and other providers to help improve overall outcomes. Healthix is also certified to exchange clinical data among other QE’s within the Statewide Health Information Network of New York (SHIN-NY).

“A relationship between SpectraMedix and Healthix is a natural fit,” said Raj Lakhanpal, MD, FACEP, Chief Executive Officer, SpectraMedix. “Access to accurate, comprehensive data is key to the success of any fee for value programs. The Healthix data feed, combined with the analytics eMeasures360™, allows DSRIP PPSs and participating providers to analyze and visualize their data on a near-real time basis, helping them to improve processes and ultimately maximize incentive payments.”
