The SpectraMedix PQRS Solution will support GHVHS and its hospital-based physicians through the entire PQRS quality reporting process
East Windsor, NJ — December 7, 2015 — The Greater Hudson Valley Health System (GHVHS) has chosen SpectraMedix’s PQRS Solution, which is part of the eMeasures360™ Platform, to report Patient Quality Reporting System (PQRS) measures for its over 100 hospital-based eligible professionals (EP). The SpectraMedix PQRS Solution will enable GHVHS to capture patient data for PQRS measure calculation, improve quality and report results to CMS to avoid PQRS financial penalties and gain Value-based Payment Modifier (VBPM) incentives.
“PQRS reporting can be highly complex and time consuming,” said Mary Ellen Crittenden, RN, MS, CPHQ, Senior Administrator of Quality, Greater Hudson Valley Health System. “The SpectraMedix PQRS Solution streamlines the entire process, from data collection to performance analysis to final reporting, positioning us to achieve optimal results with less internal resource allocation.”
“I am delighted GHVHS has chosen SpectraMedix as their PQRS partner,” said Raj Lakhanpal, MD, FACEP, Chief Executive Officer, SpectraMedix. “The end-to-end Physician Quality Reporting Process that our Solution and integrated services provide, including ongoing tracking for performance improvement, will allow GHVHS to accurately and effectively extract PQRS data from their practice management system and report to CMS.”
SpectraMedix will initially work with GHVHS to collect sample data and provide a PQRS Readiness Assessment Report. The Assessment will enable the GHVHS and SpectraMedix teams to validate data availability and accuracy, remediate any gaps, and select measures to report that satisfy PQRS requirements and also could provide an upward Physician Value-based Modifier payment adjustment. Measures also can be aligned with other quality initiatives such as PCMH and the Million Hearts® initiative.
The SpectraMedix PQRS Solution enables Ambulatory Practices and Hospitals to:
- Collect and consolidate data from all available sources including EHRs, claims and other practice management systems
- Assess data availability and accuracy for PQRS measure calculation and reporting
- Calculate and report (PQRS) for hospital- and practice-based specialties
EPs that do not report PQRS measures in 2015 are subject to a 2% payment reduction, plus an additional Value-based Modifier reduction of 2% or 4% on their Medicare Physician Fee Payments in 2017.
The SpectraMedix PQRS Solution leverages a comprehensive Measures Database which includes over 200 PQRS measures for reporting through a QCDR or Qualified Registry partner, or directly to CMS using electronic Clinical Quality Measures (eCQMs). eMeasures360™ is ONC 2014 Edition Certified to report all 64 EP eCQMs and also all 29 hospital eCQMs. The Solution also provides measure drill-downs to help leadership, providers and analysts evaluate performance and take action to improve quality.
SpectraMedix’s state of the art solutions enable hospitals and ambulatory care providers to improve performance and outcomes while transitioning to pay for performance and risk-based payment models. The SpectraMedix 360 platform for clinical data collection and aggregation, quality measure compliance, real-time data visualization and predictive modeling provides a suite of products that includes eMeasures360 for quality measures calculation and reporting, and identifying gaps in care; PredictiveCare360 for facilitating risk-based initiatives that leverage real-time data at the individual patient and population levels; and AccountableCare360 for collecting, analyzing, sharing and reporting data for the ACO measure set.
