BCBSNE Enters Into Agreement With SpectraMedix

BCBSNE will use SpectraMedix’s VBP Contract Modeler and VBP Performance Portal applications to effectively assess its member population, model contract parameters and generate reports

Omaha, NE and East Windsor, NJ — April 16, 2020 — Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska (BCBSNE) has selected SpectraMedix as its data analytics vendor to support collaboration with health care providers across the state.

BCBSNE’s Total Care program is a value-based model that reimburses providers based on the quality of care they coordinate instead of the number of services they perform. BCBSNE collaborates with Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) and Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) providers to deliver Total Care, and they rely on actionable data analytics to continually monitor quality and improve patient outcomes while lowering costs.

SpectraMedix works with health care organizations and offers cloud-based analytics applications to support value-based programs (VBP) like BCBSNE’s Total Care. BCBSNE will use SpectraMedix’s VBP Contract Modeler and VBP Performance Portal applications to effectively assess its member population, model contract parameters and generate reports. This will enable BCBSNE to provide ACOs with clinical, utilization and financial insights to manage care and costs.

SpectraMedix will also provide BCBSNE with comprehensive data mapping, validation and warehousing.
