What are we looking for

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Azure Data Engineer with at-least 2 years of experience in building scalable data engineering solutions on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Databricks, PySpark, Python, SQL, and Delta Lake. The role involves working with large-scale healthcare and enterprise data platforms, ensuring efficient data ingestion, transformation, and delivery. 
The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop high-quality data solutions while following best engineering practices, source control, and performance optimization techniques.

Location: Hyderabad

Work Mode: Hybrid(3 days a week)

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Databricks and PySpark
• Build and optimize data processing workflows using Python and SQL
• Develop and maintain data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and loading data into Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2)
• Work with Delta Lake for efficient data storage, versioning, and transactional data processing
• Create reusable and efficient data engineering components following coding standards and best practices
• Optimize Spark jobs for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and application teams to understand data requirements and implement appropriate solutions
• Perform data validation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for production issues
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards
• Maintain source code using Git and follow CI/CD best practices
• Prepare technical documentation for developed solutions
• Support production deployments and troubleshoot data pipeline issues when required
• Continuously identify opportunities for automation and process improvements

• Strong verbal and written communication, technical articulation, listening, and presentation skills are essential
• Should have proven analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated expertise in prioritization, time management, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Should be a quick learner, self-starter, proactive, and an effective team player
• Must have experience working under tight deadlines within a matrix organizational structure
