Position: Lead QA Engineer (ETL)

Location: Gurugram

What are we looking for

SpectraMedix is seeking an experienced QA Lead with strong expertise in ETL Testing, team leadership, test strategy, and quality assurance best practices. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to drive quality initiatives in an Agile environment. 

 

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Understand ETL source-to-target mapping documents and prepare QA documents and related artifacts accordingly
  • Create test data for new features, data platform upgrades, and business requirements
  • Mentor the team and help them understand business requirements
  • Develop SQL scripts based on defined business rules
  • Work closely with Data Platform, product, and business teams to complete back-end validations as part of QA delivery
  • Create ETL, database validation, and other QA scripts in the offshore team, and coordinate with the onshore team to ensure execution and reporting are shared with business leads
  • Automate existing and newly developed SQL scripts during the product development and implementation lifecycle
  • Perform data and portal testing in both UAT and production environments

 

Mandatory Skills

  • Minimum 8 years of experience working in Database testing and SQL scripting
  • Strong experience in creating complex SQL queries and query optimizations
  • Design, create and execute test cases for ETL and DB testing processes, covering data extraction, transformation, and loading
  • Experience in validating data reconciliation scripts for volume data validation in ETL and Data integration testing
  • Experience in SQL Query Automation
  • Experience in leading and managing teams
  • Experience on version control tools
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Good to have

  • Healthcare domain experience

  • Knowledge on Spark SQL
  • Some experience in Databricks
  • Familiarity with tools like: JIRA, Bugzilla, Test Rail

 

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Applications, or a related discipline (B. Tech / B.Sc. / BCA)

 

Non-Technical / Behavioral Competencies required

  • Having worked with US based clients in onsite/off shore delivery model, will be a positive
  • Strong verbal and written communication, technical articulation, listening, and presentation skills are essential
  • Should have proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated expertise in prioritization, time management, and stakeholder management (both internal and external) is necessary
  • Should be a quick learner, self-starter, proactive, and an effective team player
  • Must have experience working under tight deadlines within a matrix organizational structure
